Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede
One hour prior to the main dinner and show, guests are seated in a "Carriage Room"
where there is an opening act, a different act is displayed every two weeks. At
show time, all guests are escorted into the arena, where the Dixie Stampede dinner
and show begins.
Although the attraction bears her name, Parton doesn't appear in
person. The performance is essentially a modern-day Wild West revue, pitting sections
of the audience against each other in a good-natured way as "the South" and "the
North" battle to win various horse riding competitions.
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede
features a show with 32 horses, dozens of cast members, ostrich races, and live
buffalo. The arena holds 1088 guests. There are Quarter Horses and Palomino breeds
plus Appaloosa and Paint breeds. After the show, everyone exits through a souvenir
shop. Outside the complex is the Horse Walk, where visitors can also meet the animal
stars of the show, as well as their keepers.
The meal, which is made fresh daily
and baked on property, consists of a powdered cream soup, a cheese and butter biscuit,
a cornish game hen entree with a thin slice of pork, an half of a baked potato,
a third of an ear of corn, and an apple turnover. All of the meal is served without
dining utensils, a bowl of pasta and vegetables is the veggie meal, and is available
upon request. Price: 48.25 incl tax.
Medievil Times
Medieval Times is based in Kissimmee and is a dinner attraction that takes you back in time where the glory, chivalry,
valour and honour of those days burst to life in thrilling authentic action. You
begin your adventure when you enter an 11th century style castle and are greeted
by King Alfonso and Princess Esperanza.
Once you are inside the Grand Ceremonial Arena, you’ll feast on a medieval banquet
served in true medieval pre-silverware fashion by serfs and wenches. Once the show
begins, you’ll witness spectacular pageantry and superb equestrian drills performed
by spectacular Andalusian Stallions. Cheer for brave knights on horseback competing
in medieval tournament games. The experience culminates in an authentic jousting
tournament and sword fighting between the six brave knights of the realm.
