It would be wrong to say that Vacation Villas are better than hotels as there are some excellent hotels around. What is probably more approppiate to say is that hotels are fine for couples and singles but let's face it it's not much fun cramming 4 or more into a hotel room! You don't live in one room at home so why should you when on vacation??

Avantages:
Advatages of staying in a vacation home are huge. The privacy alone is worth it. The great thing is that Mom and dad can have some quality time together once the kids have gone to bed, they can watch tv, sit on the lanai with a glass of wine in the warm Florida evenings, knowing the kids are sleeping soundly. A hotel room means having to keep the tv volume level down so as not to disturb the kids, having to lay on the bed as there is no lounge seating in the room.

If you fancy a late night dip in the pool you can do that too.... a lot more difficult in a hotel.








Many Orlando Villas are furnished tMost Orlando Vacation Villas are furnished to a luxury standard and represent excellent value for money. Don't forget the rate you see is for the villa not per person.

In almost all cases everything you could ever need for your stay will be included in the price. From cutlery, plates, all kitchen appliances, linens, towels all have washers and dryers and some include BBQ's.

The Procedure
The procedure starts when you sign the rental agreement (Booking Form) and pay the deposit. These deposits are non refundable so it is advisable to take out some sort of travel insurance to be able to make a claim should you have to cancel. When signing the booking form you are agreeing to their terms and conditions. These terms and conditions exist for the benefit of both you and the owner.

The Costs:
The amount you have to pay will be the cost of the rental + any extras such as pool heating + you will be asked to pay a refundable security deposit. You have to pay the deposit as soon as you make the booking and the balance (Rental + Security Deposit) anywhere from  8 - 12 weeks prior to your visit.

The refundable security deposit is normally returned around 3 - 4 weeks after your departure from the property. Owners do not like having to deduct charges from the security deposit and would only do so if the damage was costly and/or willful. Owners want you to feel at home and to relax and enjoy your stay, after all they would like to see you again. It's just best to treat the home with respect.

Pools:
Pools are cleaned on a regular basis by proffesional pool cleaning companies and are maintained to a high standard. Pool heating is expensive and the charges that are levied reflect the true costs to heat the pool. It is only really required from the months of November to March. The rest of the year the air temperature will heat the water to acceptable levels. Pool safety is paramount and the laws are strict in Florida. All doors leading to the pool enclosure are fitted with safety alarms and it is an offence to disable them. Many new build properties have a pool safety fence that surrounds the pool. It can be removed easily and these homes do not have to have the alarms but a lot do have them.

Management Companies:
Management Companies are there should you need any assistance. Many have 24 hr toll free numbers you can call. These companies look after the homes of absentee owners and ensure that everything is in good order for your visit. They ensure the place is clean before your arrival and clean the place after you leave. They look after the pest control and landscaping of the property too.

That's about all that is involved, it really is a simple process and well worth trying. You will not be disappointed. All that's left is for you to have a great vacation!
